In the 1969 movie Rio Bravo, Ricky Nelson sang the song as Get Along Home, Cindy. A year later Teddy Vann had a release on Triple X Records (Triple X-101) that used the title Cindy. Buddy Kaye, Ben Weisman and Dolores Fuller adapted the song as Cindy Cindy for Elvis in 1970. Elvis recorded the song as Cindy Cindy in a session at RCA's Nashville studios on June 4, 1970.
